Comparative analysis of electric installation systems of heavy cranes.
Abstract
The technical requirements of the lifting mechanism for large-capacity mounting cranes can be satisfied by DC systems, as well as an thyristor asynchronous electric drive with symmetric and asymmetric voltage control, which is used in a twin-engine version to obtain an increased lifting speed and lowering the empty lifting device. The conducted technical and economic comparison and comparison of reliability showed that the calculated annual costs for AC systems are less than DC systems, and reliability indicators are higher. Recommendations on the choice of electric drive systems depending on the crane capacity are given.
