DETERMINATION OF THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF AN ASYNCHRONOUS ELECTRIC DRIVE WITH DIRECT TORQUE CONTROL
Abstract
In modern mechanical engineering, there are many types of regulated electric drives, as a re- sult of which ever more stringent requirements are set for them. One of these key requirements is energy effi- ciency. The aim of the presented work is to conduct an energy efficiency assessment of the previously devel- oped electric drive model with direct torque control. To achieve this goal, it was required to determine the
criteria for estimating the energy efficiency, calculate and plot the S, η, cos (φ) curves and determine their
average value at specific sections of the main operating modes of the electric drive. In order to carry out the comparative analysis according to the established criteria in this work, the vector control system was chosen as the second control system, as well as for a more complete analysis, a study of an unregulated electric drive was presented. For all the models presented in the work, the dependences ω, M, I, U were determined
on the basis of which the average values of S, η, and cos (φ) were determined. Upon receipt of the results, a
comparative analysis was carried out, which showed that the proposed direct torque control system has the highest energy efficiency.
