About the relationship of the optimal electric modes of the arc furnace, corresponding to various optimization criteria.

Abstract

A method is proposed for automatically optimizing the electric mode of an arc furnace by finding the extremum of an artificially generated fictitious power curve as a function of the arc current. The conditions for the formation of a distorting function to obtain a curve of fictitious power with various optimization criteria are shown. Calculation formulas for calculating the distorting function to minimize the specific melting time and the specific cost of electricity are given. The rationale for automatic optimization of two input channels is given. A functional diagram of a device implementing two-channel extreme regulation has been developed. Ill. 2, Bible. 6.
