Methods of measurement and calculation of losses from equalizing current.

Abstract

The method of determining the losses from the equalizing current both in idle mode and in load mode is described. The results of experimental studies of mock-up engines with pole-selectable windings with various phase mates are presented. It is established that the nature of the change in the additional losses from the surge current has a non-linear appearance.
