Abstract

The results of development and implementation of process automation systems based on programmable
controller Simatic S7-400 on a continuous cold rolling mill “1700” at PJSC “Mariupol Metallurgical Plant n.a. Ilyich”
are presented. The result of system implementation is significantly reduced amount of defective product with nonconforming
thickness and increased efficiency due to fewer strip breaks.
