Transformers with increased overload capacity.
Abstract
It is shown that power transformers with aluminum windings, calculated by the method of the authors on the condition of the minimum of reduced costs for the transformation of electricity, have an increased overload capacity when the specified technical conditions are met. The data of optimal transformers of the series 35 kV III-IV dimensions are given. The question of the possibility of further increasing the overload capacity of these transformers is investigated on the basis of the condition that one transformer of a two-transformer substation, when the second transformer fails, must carry the entire load of the substation for an arbitrarily long time. It is shown how and at what price such an increase in overload capacity can be achieved. Tab. 6, ill. 1, bibl. 2.
