Protection of asynchronous motor from overvoltages in the system of variable-frequency electric drive, taking into account the cable line

Abstract

The paper concerns electrical drive with frequency converter made by the scheme rectifier- autonomous pulse-width modulated voltage inverter. The analysis of electromagnetic oscillations in the power cable connecting frequency converter with the asynchronous motor had been accomplished. The conditions of overvoltage appearance at the input of the asynchronous moror are defined The means of overvoltage lowering are proposed.
