Calculation of the optimal power of a single-winding synchronous-reactive frequency converter in a given dimension.

Abstract

The calculation of the optimal power of a synchronous-reactive frequency converter with one combined winding on the stator, made on the principle of pole-amplitude modulation, is considered. A serial asynchronous motor is selected as the basic machine. The optimizing parameter is the ratio of the magnetic inductions of the air gap B = B2 / B1 (B2 is the generator magnetic induction, B1 is the motor one). The output rated power of such a converter is 30-40% higher than that of double-winding ones. Ill. 4, bibl. 5.
