Abstract

It is shown that a minimum of electric power losses in electric motors during asynchronous starts from an autonomous power station and the presence of a moment of resistance occurs during a direct start. The use of limiting the starting current of an electric motor by sequential switching on of a reactor or thyristor switch with the aim of reducing voltage fluctuations in an autonomous power grid leads to an increase in electric power losses in an electric motor during start-up. The results of calculations of direct and reactor asynchronous start-ups of a synchronous propeller motor from a powerful network and ship power station are given. Tab. 1. Il. 2.
