Adaptive feed drive control system for plunging a surface grinding machine.
Abstract
Developed a system based on the control of the average grinding power for one revolution of the table, with discrete control of the feed rate for plunging. The analysis of the system is given. The results of comparing it with the control system for the deviation and the experimental data on the 3M758 machine are given. It is shown that, thanks to self-tuning of the gain, the system makes it possible to exclude the influence of changes in the grinding modes, material, configuration of the machined parts and properties of the grinding wheel on the results of the machining process.
