Determination of the diameters of the active parts of electrical machines, taking into account the forces of one-sided magnetic attraction.
Abstract
The method is described and mathematical expressions are given that allow calculating by definition the minimum possible inner diameter of the packages of active parts, the size of which allows the inner frontal winding parts and the angular-thrust bearing to be positioned in it, the standard size of which provides the specified end-life operation of the machine in the presence of unilateral magnetic attraction. The results of experimental studies of the overheating of the radial-thrust bearings of end asynchronous electric motors designed with the application of the method described are also given.
