Calculation of the characteristics of asynchronous squirrel-cage motors during condenser braking.
Abstract
Existing methods for calculating self-excitation of asynchronous machines are designed for the case of their work as autonomous generators. Condenser braking has a number of specific features, as a result of which the indicated methods are practically unsuitable for this case. The article proposes a simplified method for calculating the mechanical braking characteristics of engines during condenser braking. Attention is drawn to the need to account for losses in steel at high saturations. comparative data of experiments and calculations, practical recommendations and an example of calculation are given.
