The use of the numerical method in studies of the hydrodynamics of the sliding contact of oil-filled electric machines.
Abstract
To analyze the field of hydrodynamic forces in the fluid layer under the brush, it is proposed to apply the finite difference method (grid method). Assumptions selected and justified, taken in the solution of the problem. For the case under study, the difinertial Reynolds equation is approximated by a difference equation. According to the results of the calculation of the digital computer, diagrams of the distribution of hydrodynamic forces for a brush with a smooth contact surface and a brush with axial channels are constructed. The calculation of the spring pressure on the brush with the axial channels necessary for ensuring the stable contact of the brush with the collector in oil-filled electric machines has been calculated.
