Abstract

The results of tests of a two-speed asynchronous electric motor with a winding constructed by the phase modulation method and switched according to the YYY / YYY scheme are presented. Despite the fractional ratio of the numbers of parallel branches and poles, the winding is designed without degrading the electromechanical properties of the electric motor. The role of the average harmonics for the modulated windings is shown and the calculation of the magnitude of the dip in the moment curve from the harmonic with the relative order y = 2 is given. The phenomenon of damping by short-circuited contours of parallel branches of the stator winding of the fields of medium harmonic fields is noted, leading to a decrease in the asynchronous moments caused by them.
