TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MODERN HYDROGEN FUEL CELL VEHICLES
Abstract
Advantages of modern Fuel Cell Vehicle are shown in this overview article, as compared with cars internal combustion, on example of the vehicles of companies Toyota Motor Соrp и Honda Motor Со. Tactic-technical characteristics of these vehicles are brought, the principle of operation and the major sub- assemblies are briefly described.
And Toyota Mirai, and Honda Clarity FCV - in fact, electric cars, power the motor in which not only from the electrochemical generator, but also from the secondary battery. Electrochemical generator - a block of fuel cells (FC Stack) of both cars with small dimensions ensures high stability of energy production. As a result, the engine started to run at temperatures as low as -30 ° C. But the increase in its performance is achieved in one case due to the use of the thinnest 3D channels, in the second - their vertical orientation and reduction of the cooling layers. The design of hydrogen tanks is so strong that in any accident they retain their shape.
Modern hydrogen cars are reliable, economical and crashworthiness in exploitation. They make society independent of polluting fossil fuels, whose reserves are limited and will be exhausted in about sixty years what experts estimate.
Hydrogen cars are not replacement of hybrids and electric vehicles, but rather are their satellite, one more of modes of switching to alternative power engineering, a green way of life.
