PECULIARITIES OF WORK OF THE ENERGY SYSTEMS OF MOLDOVA, UKRAINE AND ROMANIA IN THE COMPOSITION OF THE UNITED ENERGY SYSTEM WHEN BtB IS SWITCHED ON AT 400 kV SUBSTATION VULCANESTI

Abstract

For the parallel operation of the electricity systems of Moldova and Romania, it is planned
to build of the back-to-back instalation (BtB). The construction of a BtB at a Vulcanesti substation with a
capacity of 600 MW will affect the operation mode of the energy systems of Moldova and Ukraine. The purpose of this is to simulate and analyze the operating modes of the integrated power system, which includes
the energy systems of Moldova, Ukraine, Romania and other countries when the BtB chang of the generation
power balance of the in the electric power system of Moldova. To solve this problem, a calculation scheme
has been developed for an integrated electric power system for the new working conditions caused by the
creation of a direct current channel at the border of the energy systems of Moldova and Romania. The моде
of electricity injection into the Moldovan energy system from the Romanian energy system at the level of
500-600 MW is considered. The change in the power generation balance in the Moldovan energy system
leads to a change in power flows across the high-voltage intra-system lines of both Moldova and Ukraine, to
a decrease in the power flow over the 330 kV overhead line Dnestrovskaya HPP (Ukraine) to Beltsy (Moldova), and the MRPP will not transfer energy Chisinau in the energy system of Ukraine. In circuits of the Moldovan energy system, circulating power flows appear, which leads to additional losses of electricity. Installation of the phase regulator on the MRPP tires allows to regulate the transmitted power through the MRPPChisinau line. The change in the phase angle between the input and output voltages of the phase regulator
for every ten degrees in the line MRPP-Chisinau by about 200 MW. Forced regulation of power flows at the
joint operation of BtB in Vulcanesti and MRPP leads to an increase in losses in the energy systems of Moldova and Ukraine. Therefore, the BtB in Vulcanesti should be viewed not as an object of national importance
in Moldova, but as an international object that affects the energy supply and the regime of energy networks
in our region.
