Abstract

The solution of the problem of optimization of turning modes on the basis of the variational principles of optimal control is described. Three optimization problems are formulated that relate to the class of problems with isometric constraints. The solution of the problem of determining the optimal wear rate is considered in detail if a batch of parts and a tool durability time are specified. As a result of the solution, the first integral of the Euler equation is obtained, which allows you to synthesize the algorithm and block diagram of the cutting process control system.
